Joe Millionaire - see it?

Reality TV shows make me gag, but this one has myself and many Y Chromosome-types held captive in awe. It's amazing that the women are mute around the office watercooler while the guys discuss one of the most entertaining shows around. It's a perfect replacement for Monday Night Football. Watching it, there's a subtle sense of satisfaction knowing the stereotyped gold-digger actually exists and guys are feeling a bit of vindication. So how about it, Techimo Lasses(guys too)? The women were told they were going on a reality date show, a la The Bachelor, but it wasnt until they were dropped off at the French chateau that they heard the $50 mil number. This show will be interesting to see which girls still try to find a "connection" and which ones zero in on the dollar amount, and his attempt to discern who is sincere and who is not.

I think that any relationship that starts out as a lie is doomed; why should this gag (and I do mean gag) be any different?

I think it's cheap entertainment among the latest of cheap entertainment and though I haven't watched any of it, I've heard enough about the premise to know what it's about

* Oh and while I'm sure there's plenty of women golddiggers around, I'd be willing to place bets that there is no shortage of same among the male of the species, too!

Personally I think its hilarious because there's a good chance that when this woman finds out this guy isn't $$$$$ RICH.. she's going to stomp her feet and walk away.. the people who sign up for this show aren't really looking for reality to find a good man. A good portion (I won't say all) are just lookin' to meet a hot guy with bucks and to get on tv *shrug*. I will be shocked if the girl that wins will stick with him afterwards.

Hi SoCal!

You should have seen the female posturing and excitement level jump when they were first dropped off at "his" castle and he rode up on his horse. The 20 ladies each had to pick one of 20 dresses to wear to formally meet him in the castle foyer. One contestant swiped two of them in the mad dash for the nice ones. The girl who got the ugly one was not happy. I nearly spit soda all over the screen!

Joe himself is obviously no rocket scientist. We'll see if any contestant is sincere with themselves and voluntarily leaves because the "chemistry wasn't there" or realizes the entire predicament is staged and demeaning(to all parties involved). Anyone want to take bets?

The look on there faces was priceless when they found out he had $50 mill.

The one part after he rode away, they were all standing / sitting around saying how cute and handsome he is. The one looks at the other girls and says " he got alot of money too ".

Then there was the one who said that she was going to be making out with him before the show was over. This was after she found out about the money.

I did not get to see all of it but from what I saw of the 20 girls that started out only 1 did not look like a gold digger. She did make the final cut so that is a good thing.

The one that got the 2 dresses, my wife calls her "The beotch" lol

Can't wait for the end of the show. I want to see the recoil of the enourmous slap that guy is bound to get.

Haven't seen teh show yet, but I'll catch the next ep. Looks hillarious.
