Cheap Heater for the Home/Shop, Great too !

I'm a big fan of electric "Infra-Red" heaters, since Natural Gas went sky high, it's cheaper here to use electric.

Anyhow, replaced my aging Quartz 1500 watt heater with this Maxi-Heat Far Ray 1000 watt Infra-Red heater

Got it at Wal-Mart for an unbelievable price of $28.95 !

The mfg is shown as Maxi-Heat, it's called a Far Ray Heater model #RH880A
The UPC is 82392 88011

This thing throws more heat with it's 1000 watts than the old 1500 watt Quartz heater did.. kewl

The old unit pulled 12 amps
This one pulls only 8 amps

Spot IR heating is good for the old drafty houses or those who don't keep the whole house warm for just one little area that they occupy.

We picked up a couple of those for my Gmom's house while the kinked-up fuel line was being dug out of the concrete floor in her basement.
They rock
