How long????
Saw this thread and got thinking...
When did you first get your hands on a PC? I'm not talking about a Commodore VIC-20 or 64/128, Timex Sinclair, etc., but a REAL PC (x86/8088/etc).
For me was 10th grade - 1983 on a REAL IBM PC/XT/AT at school. Been tinkering ever since and STILL am learning! |

| If you have a mobo with the right connectors, it was a 100% overclock. In my case 20mHz to 40mHz. And this with no heatsink
In the day this was pdf, my buddy had a 8088 with an orange monochrome monitor and a CGA emulator program. Also, my comp had a whopping 120 megabyte hdd.

My first one was back in grade 6, a 286-10 OC'd to 12, 640k 40Mb RLL. Gold monochrome monitor.
Back then it was worth over 3000$ (XT's were still mainstream)
