Idle CPU time

I need a program to run when my CPU is idle. I can get used to it now, but I really want one to test the stability of my new system I'm building.

I used to use Seit@Home, but I heard a lot of other people using cancer, AIDS, protien type ones, I would like to help find a cure for cancer than search for ET's, honestly. Does TechIMO have a "team" I can join and contribute CPU time or something, I know set had something like that, but that was a long time ago.

Any good programs you have...

These'll give you all the info you need. Our teams are run by members, not by the staff b/c we are all volunteers and have little time to devote to this AND to moderating the forums. The people who run our teams are really great guys and gals though. I hope you find them helpful.

There is a recent TechIMO Team crunching Find-a-Drug, which uses idle CPU cycles very nicely. It runs research for the same university project that UD (mentioned by Wizzard above ). The TechIMO FaD thread is here

This is the most well-run and most worthwhile DC currently available, IMO.

Actually, he's not too late! He can also run the [FAD] client and give it a real test! (Maybe not a real test as FAD is another worthwhile cause, but doesn't take up much!)
