Stupid in Seattle

Wow, I just keep finding more ridiculous news coming out of that city. According to The Seattle Times, you can be given a parking ticket for leaving your headlights on. Now a dead battery isn't your only consequence. If I were the guy in the story, I'd tell the parking enforcement what they could do with their ticket and never pay it. And if they sue me for the money (as my town does if the amount is high enough), I'll just waste the court's time and still tell them to shove it.

that is just plain stupid, I for one have a knack for leaving lights on. Namely because I can't hear the ding ding ding ding ding ding that my light switch makes reminding me to turn off the lights. I'd be mad has hell If i got a ticket for that, That is just plain stupid.

Now if only someone would pass a law to criminalize car alarms that go off in the middle of the night for no reason.

I think I could have a lot of fun with that law!

My beast is equipped with both autolamps, which turn 'em on & off automatically, AND a remote starter, which also turns the lights on remotely.

Can you see it? Watch from a distance - cop starts to show interest, turn lights off. Cop turns to leave, turn lights ON again...
Flash 'em a couple times. Unlock the doors, which turns on the "valet" lights on the undercarraige. Maybe start it up...
And of course, set off the alarm if he/ she touches it!

Hehehe...

We are thankful that my bf rig is outfited with an alarm, it has saved his rig more than one occasion in the middle of the night. Worse we got was they cut the rag top to try to access the rig and as soon as they stick a finger inside it will go off or if you rock the rig up and down. Some of these criminals are sure dumb tho. they used a knife on the ragtop window and thier are zippers there in plain site. but each time (3 times now) all would be car theifs have fled in the night due ot the loud alarm.

Only draw back to the alarm is that if a car that is LOUD drives by it will set the alarm off breif only doing a beep beep and that is it.

So I would be against a law that made car alarms illegal.
