i think so, their quality control is almost non-existant =
2 out of 2 gateways bought since november didnt work!
no company can survive like that - or can they?

I voted yes because I agree wih what you say and Dell is too strong a competitor for them.

At one point they were good. Dunno what happened.

Its funny you bring this up because me and my bf were just talking about gateway the other day. In the last couple of years thier advertising has really gone downhill. Lack of it I should say. You hardly see any ads for gateway. Remeber the ole famous moo cows that they used.
Its hard to say, they might survive and might not. So I didn't vote. I can see them surviving and i can also see the other side too.
Used to be people used to recommend gateways and now its either Dell or HP.

I remember about a year ago seeing lots off those Cow boxes sitting outside in peeps trash piles, now I see more Dell boxes.

I just replaced the dead power supply in a gateway yesterday...it was less than 2 years old...one of those gay and sickly little 145 watt deals. We jury rigged a 350 watter in the case.

Maybe the poll should have 3rd option that says "should" they go under? lol.

My dad just got a gateway last year and he hasn't had any problems with it
I hope they don't go under.. more competition is always good. I agree their support is crap (at least last I had to use them a few years ago)
They don't use good parts anymore like they used to
They went El-Cheapo
