Someone called me a "Newbie"!

I don't know how you people feel about the subject, but I don't consider myself a "Newbie", by any stretch. I may have only '13' posts, but I've been around here for awhile, enough to know all the people here, and they likewise! I don't know if that's a blessing or a curse, depending on which side of my posts you're on. I know I'm "classified" as a Junior member, but I've been here since Mar/2002! I wish we could get rid of the monickers, like Ultimate member, member, junior member, etc. I think it's better we concern ourselves with the length of time we've contributed to the forum, and not just the threads or posts we've made. Just my humble thoughts.

Don't worry about it.

Back in the old CYSTPOP days, the youngest member of the exclusive fraternity known as "The Old Wise Ones" had jr. members in their league.

Ctaylor was the most Jr Member as I recall before the bust.
Another one of the Old Wise Ones was a mere 14 years old !!
He was very articulate and wise for his age.

Fret Not, for some have wrongly assumed that I know something

If I'm going to be "saddled" with the monicker, Junior member, so be it. My basic question, and, believe me, it's not a major one, is that, I'm never going to be anything other than a junior member?! Posting on the community forum doesn't add to anyone's count, nor should it. But, by the same token, why does anyone's posting count for anything? For example; my thoughts on Knot going to Hollywood and becoming a movie star and eventually blowing us all off should count as a post?! Ah, but it doesn't. I happen to be in that nether world of old computer geeks, or rather, wanna be's. I know enough about computers to keep mine "lean & mean", but sadly, not enough to help, or presume to know enough to help, others on this great forum! Does anyone understand this little dilemma? That's why I'll always have posts counted in the teens.

But I keep coming back like a bad penny because this is the best forum, by far for reaching out to all manner of people, from all over the world! I really get a kick out of reading posts from members from all over the world. It's been a gas!

tkop,

You're right. I just can't understand why it bothers me like it does. It's such a trivial thing. The major point is that it's been a great forum for the year I've been on. I think I'll go and ask some crazy, inane questions about my PC and add a few more posts to my count!

<-----It would appear that a name is just a name, and in no way evaluates the inteligence of the person behind it.(except in my case )
I posted really hard to get my avatar, then kinda hung out here.
I made ultimate in a year, and just hung out here
It seems in the times passed by that I have lost my edge on things, and need new input, but I still just hang out here.
I don't think a title makes or breaks you, and in no way describes the person it represents, but I'm keeping my ultimate
