Well lets see.
1. I had to work today
2.due to my wife just getting back to work I have to wait until this weekend to get a gift from her.
3.she went to her families Christmas and then to work without bothering to drop off my presents so I could open them after I got home from work.
4. Christmas with my family will not be until new years day.
So my day kinda sucked. It wasn't all bad though I got a free meal and double time at work, plus I did get the last payment on a computer I sold. (and a coffee cup from a coworker (I rarely drink coffee)
It just bummed me out because I was looking forward to having a present to open when I got home from work.
Now I'm really bummed. Just talked to my wife and not only did they not give me a gift of any sort get this they did not give her anything either. Its one thing to forget me (they think I'm a lazy bum), but to not get your own sister a present? I had planned to buy them something later, but now well now they can all just go..........(fill in your own explitives)
It's been a rough year for glo & I . We are just now seeing it take a turn for the better.
(buy the way this lazy bum owns 4 car's(no not new), and my house is paid for. I am in debt but thats due to medical bills from Glo. and i haven't ever been out of work for more than a month.)
At least I know New Years day she will be treated nicely by my family.

I am so very glad Christmas was good for you guys!
I think I will go the way Nunyadam did. He took all my thunder!
1.
Unfortunatly I had to work this Xmas. So far this week I have worked 3-12(Sun,Mon,Tue) hour days, 2-16(Wed, Thur) hour days and I have 1 more 12 hour day(Fri) to go. I'm OFF Saturday! YAY!
2.
Wife is at her mothers house (100 miles away) this week, from last Saturday until Friday. Her mother is in extreme pain and has to take meds that can cause her to hallucinate so she needs someone there 24x7. My wife went there this week to allow the sitters time to be with thier families.
3.
No presents, too deep in debt. I need to clear my credit B4 I guy anything else. Well, I got a sweater for my wife, but that isnt really a present for myself.
Other than that I have had a wonderful Christmas(sleeping whenever im not at work).
I hope everyone else(other than Nunya and myself) had a terrific Christmas!
Sincerely,
Vern

Great christmas

Well, my Christmas was ok. I got to spend time with my family and eat till I couldn't move. I recieved the usual shirt from my mom (no surprises there). My wife and I always pick one thing we want and go buy it for ourselves, saves us the trouble of having to return an unwanted gift after Christmas. I bought myself a Gameboy Advance and installed an Afterburner in it so I could see the screen :P and she ordered a digital camcorder that still hasn't made it even though it was ordered on the 11th of December and after we had been told it had been shipped (it was shipped 7 days after we had been told it already was, Thanks a lot Bilibi.com). But other than that everything was great. I know I have nothing to complain about because some people didn't get a Christmas at all.

Christmas Eve it snowed, we had a roaring fire, Christmas music playing, squirrels and cardinals and blue jays in the yard, two very contented cats in the house, and a great dinner. Can't beat that with a stick.
My sympathies to those who had to work. Our office is 24x7 also, but I drew the lucky number this year and didn't have to work the holidays. Of course that means I will definitely have to work them next year.

I hear you Bemuse. Nothing to complain about here either. I struggle every year to stop myself from spending too much money and throwing myself into the winter hole ( work slows down for the next couple o' months for me ), but end up spending too much money. I think this year I spent a grand total of just over a grand on Christmas, which is an all time high ( although I got a $1000 bonus ). Problem is, that money would be better served as a buffer in the checkbook, considering our spending/saving habits....bad/bad. I'm just thankful I can find a way to eek out a few bucks and spread the Christmas joy on the commercial level, as well as on the emotional level.
At any rate, I hope that all of you TIMO'ers that couldn't have the Christmas' that you'd hoped you could have had will have a better and brighter, and bigger New Year!
