Price match

Why is it that stores say they'll match any price so I give them one that's 100$ cheaper and they say they can't because it's not an ONLINE store. The product is a radeon 9500 pro, thier price is 399$ (with 30$ mail in is 369$) the price I sent them was 299$ and they won't honor it, So I've sent them 2 more one at 285 but it's OEM, the other is 309 boxed. Just makes me mad that they say they will honor it, but then they won't. Have many people run into this, I always get a hum and a harr about price match. It's not identical, thiers has a different serial number blah blah, cheap ....... I'll end there, no need for profanity

Hmmm... I only did this once.
I ordered an AMP from Musicians Friends and they have this match price thingie.! The thing is that the AMP I ordered was later on sale (the same week) by them!

I told them this and they gave me a $65 credit.! Cool.!

That's the only time I did it so I don't have the same pain in the ass experience. But, different shops have different rules. That's why it is always good to read everything (yeah... even the little print that is only for lawyers!! )

They can't beat 309$, yet I can get it for 285, I was trying to get it locally as I don't like getting things shipped, but oh well, guess I have no choice now but to get it shipped.
