Another rock icon lost---
Joe Strummer, former singer, guitarist and songwriter for legendary punk rockers the Clash, died Sunday at his home in Somerset England of an apparent heart attack at the age of fifty.
*An autopsy is pending.

Saw the Clash live early 80s, was into their stuff late 70s.

I didn't listen to a lot of Joe or the Clash, but he did a lot for the music I do listen to. He'll be missed.

Quidam is on a distinguished road
At their peak, the Clash had the nickname "The Only Band that Matters". A bit over the top perhaps, but their combination of energy and message was a powerful force that is still felt today.

I will listen to "London Calling" tonight and remember.
