Let's Help Santa!
http://www.orisinal.org/games/flight.htm
(hope this hasn't been posted already, it's a good excuse to say hi)
I hope all of you, my wonderful TechIMO family members, are doing well. I wish each and every one of you the happiest of holidays this and every year.
I'm a little down because my son is away for Christmas...I didn't see him last Christmas either (I was in Kuwait after 9/11). As a matter of fact, he's 5 and I've only been able to spend 3 Christmas seasons with him so far. I feel terrible about it.
Some good words of encouragement are definitely welcome...
Take care guys,
Mike

Dear Martoch, it's not the time away that matters, it's the time together. Try to think that Christmas is a season and not just a moment or a day. Spend your time taking care of yourself and making things ready for that return home. Those few hours that your son will be away are just that, only a few.... you will be fine.
You could take the time to create a suprise for the little one's return that'll make it even more special and memorable.... Something like making a whole lotta clues to go through till the present is at the end..... Best wishes to you and your son....

Chin up Mike. Just remember Tyler will be back soon and you can make up for lost time.

Hey, buddy! Yep, Sweet beat me to it...she's 100% right!
Please re-read what she wrote, that's a sure route out of the blues you're in (believe me, I have experienced it, only under nasty circumstances).
It took me many months to understand it, and how to circumvent the "pointless" considerations, in order to get to an operating position where it became "win-win" for everybody.... ESPECIALLY the little one(s)!
When Tyler comes back to you, let the magic begin! |

Sorry to hear you will not be with your Son on Chsistmas. I can't really add to what has been said. But you should feel lucky and not down that you have such a great little kid, I'm sure he's proud of his Dad |

Hey Martoch, just because you don't feel like celebrating Christmas on Christmas Day, doesn't mean you can't have Christmas!!
Christmas happens whenever you make it happen!!
So when Tyler comes back, have Christmas with him!!
And enjoy, mate!!
'Tis the season to be jolly, Martoch.
Happy Christmas.
Cheers
Mick
PS ..and let Tyler have two Christmases - I'm sure he won't mind!! | |
