How come my posts are...?

Not coming up immediately?

I have refreshed the page, and came back 10 minutes later, and refreshed, and my posts are not showing up?

I go to my User CP, and can see my last post, and when I click the link it brings me to my post on the thread like it is supposed to, but if I manually go through the forums my post is still not there???

weird! anyone else having this issue?

What browser are you using? I'm fairly certain it's a cache problem - it's pulling up an old cached page instead of downloading a current one. Try hitting refresh/reload when it happens next time... if that corrects it, then it's definitely a cache problem.

Also, check that your IE settings are thus:

Tools > Internet Options > General | Temporary Internet Files | Settings >

"Check for newer versions of stored pages:

[check] Every visit to the page"

I had that problem awhile ago. I had to call my ISP and have them not cache pages on their end. As soon as I called them the problem stopped and I have not had it since.

I had gone through all of the settings and this was my last resort.

Send a message via AIM to Kuasimodem Send a message via Yahoo to Kuasimodem
Add me to the list...

Also, tell them this "The forums are very dynamic pages that change on a minute to minute basis, could you please put a bypass in for the http://www.techimo.com domain, so that the pages are not cached?"

I fought this problem for about a week at SysOpt, found out what the problem was, and then called them again to put in the same cache bypass when I switched to TechIMO
