I like the shows a lot. My wife and I watch it more than any other show, really. Often, it gets very preachy or political and those views are usually in sharp contrast to my ideas. Recently, they had a show where they likened person owning and training a trained-to-kill pit-bull to that of someone having a loaded gun and I thought that was way out of line (guns can be used in defense and almost never go off by mistake, while a pit-bull is just the opposite).
On the whole (no Austin Powers cracks!), I like the show a lot and watch all of the spin offs when they come on. I like Special Victim unit with the star being Private Pyle from Full Metal Jacket. I can't picture him as anything else but a lumbering Marine when he is on the show.
