Fake or Natural?
What's your preference? Personally, there's nothing like the smell of a freshly cut pine tree, filling the house with its aroma.
However, there is the attraction to a good quality plastic tree. Up in five minutes ( like my new one ), no needles to jab you in the foot unexpectedly-or clog the vaccuum. Not to mention much better on the forearms for us Dads who have the task of lighting the tree.
So, what's better?
Real : Smells good, pointy needles, watering it, keeping the animals away from the watering trough, tipping over disasters, It's Real folks!
Fake: No smell, skin friendly, tipping is mostly a non factor, easy to decorate, no watering, animals may eat it depending on the animal, It's a Fake, and everyone knows it! I'd have put up a poll, but it seems that I can never get them to work. I can't even vote!

I miss the smell of a real tree but love the convenience of the fake one we own. What I really need is some evergreen air freshener. |

Totally prefer real. The whole time I was growing up in MI, my mom and I would go to the local tree farm and cut our own down.
I went with fake this year. The cost of a good tree in TX is outrageous.

It's gotta be the real thing for me!
There's something about going out to a tree farm with the kids and cutting one down. You can't beat the smell of a fresh tree.
When I was little, my grandparents had a chrome (well, it was real shiny, I was only 4 or 5) fake tree. There were small spotlights on the floor on either side shining up on the tree. The lights had rotating filters with three sections in red, green, and blue that made the tree change colors as they rotated. It always seemed kinda weird to me. |

HMMM! I love the real tree, but the wife hates it,so we have artie this year
But I have given away 4 trees to family members this week, so I can goto thier house and smell the aroma, and my wife doesn't have the mess to deal with, and were getting the cedars cut off the field at the same time win win situation
Attached is a pic of the one my sisterinlaw and her BF picked for my fatherinlaw those things look smaller in the field don't they LOL

Dude the real deal every Christmas! You gotta have that knawing curiousity of will your house be but a burnt cinder when you get home or will it have a lighted tree in the window. I also like the cent and the unperfectness of them. Theirs just somethign about that "bad" side the the tree that makes you feel good when you make it look nice.

No question. Real.
The convenience of an artificial tree is certainly a consideration, but...
C'mon. We stay away from the Dark Side. *sniff* AHHHHH! |

Our next door neighbor had one. I used to stand in their livingroom and watch it change colors. It was way kewl at the time! Seems kind of tacky now, don't it? Quote: |
