I'm doing my best to be calm and cool!?
I'm sorry people! I've tried my best to be a "suave and deboner" person, but I can't help it! I just heard that a poll was taken of the American people and 70% said they're tired of all the illegal aliens here in the country, (8-11 million!)! I just heard that the Mexican president, Vincente Fox, read a message over national radio, to report any cases of Mexican border guards extorting money from all the innocent people streaming back across the border during the Holiday season!!! He ended his message by extolling his extreme gratitude to all the honorable illegal aliens who make money here and bring it back there, duh!!! What's wrong with this picture???
I've been a liberal thinking human being all my life and I've voted Democratic all this time. I'm not anti-Mexican!!! They just don't belong here as long as we have 8 million unemployed! It's that simple. This is not rocket science and I'll discuss this with anyone on this forum! The only retort I've ever heard was that, "OH, they only do the work our people don't want to do!" I beg to differ. I worked with Mexicans, good guys too!, who were making $15 per hour! So who's kidding who?
What bothers me most is the fact that if you're from another country south of Mexico, and you're trying to make it to the U.S. border, through Mexico, you're "toast" if the Mexican authorities catch you!!! Mexico keeps everyone out but Mexicans, and that's the truth, as I know it! The U.S. is Mexico's private reserve and no other country south of them can have us, that's it! Just my thoughts guys. |

it's sooo true. i live in texas, so i see this first hand. a friend of mine at tech had to take a semester off for monitary reason and so he went back home to work. well he lives in el paso which is right on the border, and even with his good computer skills, he couldn't find anything above minimum wage, of which there was stiff competition for. he almost came to lubbock to work! even tho he would have had to pay for his own apartment. it's crazy down here somtimes.

Let's hear from others on the forum. Personally, I'm fed up with the Bullcrap politics of it all. Every country has a right to guard their borders. I'm a liberal guy in virtually every other way but our borders! I'm waiting for anyone to respond. We've got a lot of problems in our country and we'll solve them in time. We always do somehow. What we don't need is a swarm of people coming here illegally!!! Every country in the world guards their borders, and why should we be any different? Let's hear it!

Well, if you really want someone to complain to, do it to the people that are hiring these people. Simple enough to stop illegals from taking our jobs. Ask for a SSN and a birth certificate/ID before anyone can work. Don't know of too many illegals getting Social security cards at the border.

Life is too short to be complaining all the time. All I'm saying is that we should take a real good look at our immigration policies. Can anyone here argue about our county having the right/duty to uphold it's borders? Canada just said they have El-queda cells all over the place, duh?!
Will someone on this forum please explain the rationale for having 11 million people here illegally? I'm not trying to get booted off this forum for saying what I feel here. Someone explain this to me. |

| Actually that is a horrible system You better bet your a$$ they know where to get them . In IL a SS can be had for $25, and Birth certificate and ID for $45 more if you know the right people, and trust me its not hard to know the right people.
Here is the funny part. The government doesn't tell you if the SS card is bad. If you send in a false SS# for an emplaoyee with their taxes, the government does nothing more than keep the money. They do not inform you of that in any way.

Here's how the game is played. Some years back I was the records evaluator for a junior college in the Chicago area. One of my jobs was to issue the paperwork to INS in order for a student visa. One night while checking transcripts, I got a call from someone of Arab persuasion, asking me to issue a document to INS for his younger brother so that he could once again attend my Jr. College for the next semester. I told him to hold on and I retreaved his brother's school file, which was inactive. Well, when I took a look at this guy's record, I couldn't believe my eyes! He'd been at my school for two previous semesters and never earned a single credit! Never even showed up. I told this guy over the phone to try somewhere else because I wasn't about to give his brother a free pass for the third time. I never heard such #@&!%#!! after I said this. He went from "sweet and smarmy" to "I'd like to cut your throat", in a heartbeat. Jeez. I'll never forget that call. |
