Which side do you ride.

Which side of the road do you ride your bicycle on?

Do you travel with traffic or do you travel against traffic?

I is the paranoid type and thinks someone will ram me from behind.

By going on left side I can duck as soon as someone comes to hit me.

On roads with bicycle lanes I believe you are supposed to ride against the flow if there is none then you are supposed to ride with traffic, consume an entire lane and maintain the speed limit.

While we're on the subject anyways... remember NOT to ride double-file with bikes. I almost got hit head-on by a large truck (delivery truck of some sort, NOT a pickup) because of two stupid girls riding side by side on a state highway after dark. It's only because of God that me and my family came through that one alive. (imagine a Honda Accord meeting a large truck face to face at 55MPH. ) The truck driver had to take up all of my lane to avoide the girls, and I had to take the wide (fortunately...) shoulder.

Edit: No, I didn't have an accident that time... even the car was completely alright.

I am pretty sure you are always supposed to ride with traffic.

What annoys me about the people who do not go with traffic is that when you obey the rules you end up running head on to the anti traffic flow folks. The edge of the road is only sooo big.
