Man, am I an "A1" idiot!

I just updated my profile to show where I'm located and then I had flashed on my screen something like ten personal messages from various members throughout the last few months explaining to me in a kind way, that I've been rather brash in my posting. They're messages to me were right on the money! I can't believe that I never even bothered to look to see if I had personal messages! That's how much of a Newbie I've been and I apologize for not getting back to each and every one!

Hehehe.... I used to live on Sheridan Ave. (up by Evanston) for a spell and then moved to the South side (Bridgeport-32nd st.) to be closer to campus.

Remember Connie's Pizza. This is 20 years ago. Wonder if its still there.

shahani,

No, I never went there. I was one of many VA representives working at the college level helping fellow vets get their GI Bill benefits. My friend Jerry was assigned to IIT and , more often then not, you could find him in the right field bleachers at old Comeskey Park than at his office!!!! He never got caught doing it either! Another buddy of mine, who also worked for VA, took off sick one day and went to Wrigley Field to see a Cubbie game. Would you believe he caught a Home run ball into the right field bleachers and his picture was splattered all over the Chicago Sun-Times, catching the friggin' ball!!! He got suspended for two weeks, duh. I know it happened because I was right next to him because I had the presence of mind to turn my face the other way! He never ratted on me!

P.S. jman01pa, thanks for the kind words, but I'm going to reserve the right to be an ass every once and awhile!

Tech

Heh heh. I was just reading this thread and decided to go double-check my own PM. DOH!! There was one there from four days ago.

Guilty as charged.

Thanks for the inspiration, glohworm.

Oh, I thought that referred to me.

jman01pa: thanks for that link. Connies made the best deep pan pizza I ever had. Almost like a quiche. The ones here in NJ are thin, flat and light.

Pizza Mecca? NYC?

Well, if you like the light crispy crusty type then Yes.

I prefer the deeeeeep pan with lots of cheese and stuff.
