Wet cat count...
It's been raining here in Northern California pretty much solid for the last 3 days or so. Big storms moving through.
Anyways Simon, my cat, has come in the house soaking wet ( much wetter than in those pictures) a total of 15 times. 5 times a day. And he's not just damp from scurrying in when the rain starts, he's usually so wet he needs to be towel dried. Of course he loves this procedure and it's probably the very reason why he does it. He even has no problem waking me up from a dead sleep just so I can dry him.
He's just lucky wet cats don't smell like wet dogs or I don't think I'd tolerate this behavior.

Not that I'm any example of cat mastery---on the mornings when I get on the computer, (bleary eyed, with my coffee,) my orange cat, Jasper, has me trained to put my feet up, and WHOOF! I get an immediate lapful of orange cat. Furry purr tank, if you ask me.
Cats are such uncritical, sensual creatures. Prolly why we like the little monsters. |

I could never figure out just how my one cat, Squeakers, managed to stay mostly dry, when he fell into a 3/4 full bathtub. All 4 of his paws, about an inch or so up his leg was soaking wet, but the rest of him stayed dry. I swear that cat learned how to levitate.................

If you like that one Neo, you should hear this one!
CE was getting ready to take a bath, and Sammy, another of our felines, was a bit more curious than most cats. Now the house we were living in at the time was tiny, so we kept the litter box in the bathroom, an it was next to the tub. Sammy had his back paws on the litter box, and his front paws on the edge of the tub, when disaster hit... His front paws slipped into the tub, while his back paws were still on the litter box. Here this poor cat, was struggling to keep his head above water, and trying desperately to find a way out of the situation he was in, without getting himself even more wet............. After CE was able to stop laughing, he pulled Sammy out......... I guess he did not learn his lesson, Sammy still likes to be nesr the tub when it is in use! LOL

OuT that sounds like a very spoiled animal to me. And very big too.Good Job
AC, cats do some funny things, Poor Sammy sounds like scuba kitty.
Thomas likes to sleep on the desk with the mouse as a pillow, while angel tries to jump through closed windows. It's a circus around here

I've had several cats that would kick up their heels and bound through a downpour. Most liked to be toweled dry, have one now that likes to have the hairdryer blown on her, she don't have to be wet either, just rolls around on the floor squaking to be foot-rubbed and blown with the warm air.
She chases balls too, and brings them back.. ' '

Yeah, he's actually not that wet in those photos. He's been getting much wetter during this series of storms we're having. His fur is extemely thick too. I don't think he even feels the water until he's drenched, because the water doesn't get through his coat.
