Sean Penn Says War in Iraq Is Avoidable
I'm getting pretty fed up with this loony liberal Hollywood actors bashing this country.Imagine if they had this same mentality back in WWII,we all be speaking German or Japenese right now.And no, this isn't a knock against either one of those countries for all the politically correct people out there.God forbid. But,I'd personally like to invite Sean Penn to stay the Hell out of America sense were so evil.

The US Government always seeks advice from Sean Penn before engaging in any international conflicts. You knew that right?

Sean Penn is in close coordination with President Bush. I am sure they share intelligence and have long philosophical conversations in the evening. Did I say President Bush? I meant Saddam Hussein.

Of course the last thing we would want to do is avoid a war.

Sean Penn is an actor; Sean Penn is also a U.S. citizen. Sean Penn has as much right to his opinion of what the Bush administration is doing as anybody else, and just because he is an actor doesn't mean he ought to keep his mouth shut. Criticizing the government is not un-American; on the contrary, it is (and should remain!) one of the cherished privileges we have here in this country.

Looking for an alternative to war is not un-American. Feeling reluctant to start dropping bombs on a bunch of people is not un-American.

Telling someone they should leave the country because they dare to criticize the government is (I believe) un-American.

edit: Of course I don't think you have to like what he says!

Sean Penn can say what he wants. I will give him the same credence as I give Martha Stewart talking about computer science algorithms.

dubya says war in iraq is avoidable. saddam must comply with
giving up weapons of mass destruction. so far it looks like he is
cooperating. so far it looks like war will be avoided. if saddam wants to live and to remain in power, it will continue just like
this. so sean penn and dubya happen to agree, yes?

Bush wants war. What's the REAL reason, I don't know.

We created the monsters in Sadam Hussein, Al Qida, and the Taliban. We gave them the weapons and training in the 80's because we didn't like the Russians. Now we're spending all kinds of more money because now we don't like them!

It's not the removal of Sadam Hussein I'm worried about. The guy's a worthless dictator. But I don't know he's any worse than any of the other characters in the area. What I'm worried about is the occupation that follows. That is going to be the drain.

The Iraqi Sadam Hussein opposition is somewhat aligned with Iran. Or, they are Kurds who want their own country which will create other problems in the region.

Barney,

What would spark a liberal to action such as war?

Would the fact that saddam had such a weapon be enough reason or does he have to release the doomsday bug before we can take action?

What would be the trigger for you?

Do you believe that what bush is saying about Weapons of mass destruction being developed is false? Or do you think that since we have them that all parties on planet earth are just as right to pursue them?

Were hitler just starting up and we knew of him developing nuclear weapons prior to WWII would we have been right to act?

Mind you that Black pox is supposedly 100 percent lethal and more communicable than smallpox. There is no cure.

If saddam had such a bug and decided in 10 or 20 years, after his first stroke or when cancer sets in, that he will use a bug like this it will be too late. Once something like this is released that is it. no more liberals No more conservatives. No more poor for you to help. No more Iraq No more US.

Is there anythig that would drive you to action? Or do you simply run with the fair arguement.
