One thing I've learned here!
One thought keeps running through my mind as we view Cadd's personal lose. It's the fact that, although we all fight and scream at each other, and poo poo each other's posts about all manner of things, I really have learned that when it all comes down to the nitty gritty about "real life", everyone comes together when it counts! Cadd was right to share his pain with us all and I know in my heart that we all feel the same. I guess that's the only time when all of us do. It's just a good feeling to have, that we've all been able, in our own small way, to give comfort and succur to a fellow member, to share our own experiences and to learn from his. I guess I'm just babbling again. |

Well glohworm, now you know why many of us consider ourselves and TechIMO as " ONE BIG HAPPY FAMILY" ' '

It's true! If you had told me a year ago that I'd be a devoted member of a computer forum I'd a' socked ya! This whole (TechIMO) thing has really surprised me. In a very nice way.
I've made some good friends here, and I consider them quite seriously as such.
Makes me wonder, are we delusional, or are we at the forefront of an entirely new social order? Not that I care about such distinctions, mind you.
It's just that I DO recognise, and cherish, truly good hearted folks when I "see" them! |

Nice post, glohworm!
Knot, this online community may be the best, but it's not the only one of it's kind.
Just ask any teenagers with web access!
Cheers

glohworm, stick around & you'll see lots more!
For me, it's been 2½ yrs. And like Knot, I'd have never believed it possible that I'd consider many folks online to be good friends, nor would I believe the things I've seen happen.
Don't try to describe or explain it to someone offline, though!! |

TechIMO is the only one of its kind! There are many tech support forums and many generic chat forums, but none with the personality and diversity like we have here. How many tech sites out there can you discuss Windows XP in one post, talk politics in another, express grief over the death of a loved one in yet another and still be a success? Just TechIMO.
This place is without a doubt a "One of a kind".

You are absolutely correct, Ed! I guess you just had to be there...er, I mean, HERE. |
