Anyone catch Al Gore last night on The Daily Show?

I love the Daily Show and try to catch it everyday. When I heard Al Gore was going to be the guest last night I was not looking forward to it. I even almost turned it off when the guest segment began, but I decided to tough it out.

And I must admit I found Vice President Gore (do VP keep their title the same way Presidents do?) rather pleasant, with a good sense of humor, and surprisingly down to Earth. Of course I'm still diametrically opposed to almost all his philosophies regarding the ecology, economy, government, etc. etc. But I just wanted to say on a personable level he made a good impression on me last night.

Yea he seems like a good guy. It's just that his political views suck. IMHO

If I heard that right Tekk, he was not saying he invented the internet, but was in fact, one of the people responsible for the internet being created...........

Al Gore is a very nice guy with a very nice wife. Ten years ago he was considered a "conservative" democrat for being outspokenly pro-life and critical of "Hollywood morality" and was supported by many conservatives. What a difference a decade makes.

He was on David Letterman a week or so ago. I found him rather surprisingly pleasant to listen to, also.

He's making the rounds for a reason... even though he hasn't officially revealed it.

He needs to show the country he's human so he can run in 2004. Has to get rid of his reputation of being too stiff.

His reputation for being stiff are the least of his shortcomings. It's his reputation for selling out to the highest bidder that bothers me, in this case the DNC. He weighed moral anchor ten years ago when he teamed up with Der Schlickmeister.

Al Gore is a "has been". I think John Kerry has a better chance than anyone else against GBW.

Unless GWB wins the war, puts the economy on its tracts (3% unemployment) and nabs OBL.

Then no one can come near him.
