Awesome Pictures !

This guy really has some talent, and obviously spent tons of money and time building this collection.

Maybe not the biggest around, but one of the better photo sites I've seen.

Awesome pictures. I particularly liked the animals. Very natural settings and the resolutions are superlative.

My best pal several years back was a pro photographer.

He told me the secret is to take as many pictures as possible, then from the bunch pick the winners.

His ratio was 100/1

Of course his eye was more critical than yours or mine, however the "point" is with digital cameras the "guilt" of shooting is gone.
After the camer is paid for, no more processing fees, travel time, filling out silly papers, leaving, coming back, standing in line ......
No wonder digital camera sales are flying.

Any shutter bugs here ?
I've shot some ASA 8 film through a Hasselblad 2-1/4" with a 19mm lens !

The trees looked like plastic, the water puddles in the road looked like Mercury !!

I use a Nikon 6000 SLR because I feel digital cameras have a way to go still before they can reach the resolution of film. And the most important part are the lenses. Digitals don't have the same quality lens.

Hasselblad? Wow. Wish I could afford one of them. Using a slow film like ASA8 on a larger film format ---the clarity must be awesome.

Wow, some awesome pictures.

I used to have a nice (old) Nikon film camera, but my dad broke it.

Incidently, in the most recent release of Discover magazine there's an article on a new style of Digital camera. A guy named Carver Mead (you may have heard of him) is behind the idea and his company is called Foveon Inc. Anyway, there's a digital out using their new technology (called X3). The camera is the Sigma SD9. It takes pictures that very very very close in detail to a film camera. So close as to pretty much be undertimanable by the untrained eye. Pretty neat stuff.
