Amidst the ruins...

I thought this was kinda neat. A couple of tornados made their way through my area back in September. Fairly well flattened a small town nearby and threw a LOT of trees around the highway.

I took this picture today, while driving, out the PASSENGER side of my car <gloat>.

I just thought it was kinda neat that this big, old, dead tree was still standing while all the smaller live trees had been flattened. I know there's a moral in here somewhere...

I should get a picture of that from a different angle. That one doesn't show all the trees down around it in a straight line where the funnel went through. There was some spectacular damage done.
