Just wondering.Anyone collect hotwheels, besides me? If so, do you collect types, sets, or just whatever looks cool?

I collect the musclecars, dragracers, and exotics. I even buy Matchbox if they have something cool. The value of them is steadily going up as more adults collect them. And I even picked up some redlines (red stripe around the tires, late 70's)the other day at a secondhand store for 50 cents

My 9 year old loves these things, so we both get to go to the same isle shopping. Plus @ a buck each, it's not expensive.

Just curious

My father collects Model cars. Such as Hotwheels. At last count his collection was worth upwards of $24,000 Au.

Yup, I have a minor collection of cars I like personally IRL. I may buy the rereleased Eudora van/truck if I can find one. I know the originals are worth some jing! My mom actually has all my old hotwheels from when I was a kid ( at least all the ones I didn't destroy ). It's a nice hobby, and cheaper than buying football cards, etc.

How about other than the hotwheels/matchbox variety? I have a small collection of the 1:64 scale Muscle Machines. Don't know why exactly, but they are way cool to me.

I have three or four boxes of them. All still in the package (ok 98% you gotta have a couple to play with.) I have a few of the different series, but most are just whatever is in the bargain bin and looks cool. (my wife buys alot of them for me.)

I loved Hot Wheels. Never really collected them, just played with them. Had a few shoe boxes full. They were all scratched up and mangled from the abuse.

I remember I use run some Hot Wheel track from my 2nd story balcony down into the courtyard below. Half the time they wouldn't even stay on the track for the ride down.

My favorite car was an old hot rod Camaro. '67 or '68. I believe it had a blower sticking out of the hood, or the hood opened, or something like that. It was gold.

Only one hotwheel remains with me, the one representing my project car which currently sleeping outside under the snow.

Not really a collection, but it's important to me.

I certainly have some cars in the basement scattered in hard to reach places. :P
