I'll never get an Avatar?

It just dawned on me! I'll never, ever, qualify for an Avatar on this forum! The reason is; I'm running Me on a 900 ghz Athlon, 200 front side buss, 40 gig hd, blah, blah! I honestly haven't run into any problems where I'd have to ask for help! It's obvious to all the guys here that I don't have the knowledge, nor the wherewithall to help others, so I'll never gain enough points to get my "glowing worm", so to speak. What's the point of posting innane questions, not caring about the responses, just to get points?! Have I stepped on the proverbial "twenkie" again?!

well, there is always the bucket of water solution.... or reach in blindly and put some things out and see if someone can toruble shoot it... or just stick with it you'll get posts somehow....

Man that is some serious overclocking. With that kind of knowledge you should get an avatar no problem

GOOGLE! I post in several threads that I am not sure about the answer... but if the poster does a good enough job of describing the problem, I can usual find good suggestions on Google. This helps others and it helps me learn. Here- http://www.techimo.com/forum/t43875.html , I literally did a search for "Show DeskTop Icon Gone" and it was the 1st or second link. Just have two broswers going and search (do post credit to the link though, it is good taste)... you will be there in no time. You could also Join a DC Team over in the DistributedComputing Forums... You'll get lots of posts .

Don't you good guys it! I don't have a clue as to what I'm doing, and I mean that! I will always have "12" posts, and that's the way of the world! I will always be a junior member, although every hair on my body is gray! Duh. I love you people!!!!!

There are always going to be people who know more than you and less than you about a particular subject. If you visit often enough you will find a post or two that will help a fellow member or would be member out.

This place isn't just about helping and getting help. Its about sharing knowledge. If you know something you think might benifit a single person share it. If you have a thought or idea share it. If someone posts something you like say thanks. It will be appreciated.

Trust me Glohworm, if anyone around here knew next to nothing about computers before here, it was me. Now look, I recently made senior member! My way was visiting the graphics area, and adding pics to the gallery. I paid attention in the other areas, and learned.
