Supernova Pics?

Hi there,

today i was in a observatory, and this guy told us some interessting things about the stars, how they born and die

and he told about a supernova which appeared 1987 23 Feb and i want some pics but i cant find them (look at my birthday: 26 feb 1987)

so could someone help me to find some pics?

Have you tried nasa.gov they have an image gallery I think. I will see what I can find and post back.

I had at one point found pictures of hypernovas. Very intresting.

hypernovas? never heard of that. Do you remember the addy?

Hmmm...Dunno. Found most of the stuff at Google if I remember correctly. There wasn't much, no hubble-quality images at least. But they do have models that are simply enourmous.
