Every time I get those feelings, or get down like that, I think of what the alternative is.....
Imagine not waking up the next day a living breathing human being.
Kinda puts it in perspective doesn't it?
When you think of it that way, your life won't seem so gloomy.

I'm always tired too, it's because I go to sleep 3 hours before school, and am at school all day. Life is tough.
BTW I don't think that's deppression. Deppression is when you don't eat, you sleep alot, don't want to do anything(includes computer) and you're 'done with life'.

I bet if you turn your school issues around you wouldn't be so "depressed". The only person that is going to make you feel better is yourself.

CP, I think you should tell your mom or the school nurse about feeling sad. Feeling tired when you are really sleeping enough, or feeling like things just aren't as good as they should be and feeling down about it are signs of depression. Sometimes just talking to someone about it helps. A doctor can help you. Please talk to someone that can help.. Life should feel pretty good most times. | |

depression & cure
Indeed, look for a therapist. I did so as well after being laid off and it helped. Perhaps suggest a
homoeopathic cure like Ignatia which seems to
be effective without the dangers of e.g. Prozac.
All the Best. CC

I would be reluctant to use diagnostic
Terms like "depression".
But if you are really having some problems, see your doctor and try to get him/her to keep an open mind as to the causes.
Doctors like to dichotomize ilness into 'physical' and 'mental'--and try to get out of their offices the mental.
The Shrinks in turn--wrongfully assume that a complete exclusuionary workup has been done, and "treat the Mental', often ignoring a physical basis. Half the kids I saw referred to a Major Psychiatric Hospital for "conduct disorders" or "depression", actually had physical problems that nobody intergrated as their records were often scatterred.
Nothing prevents someone from having both and many physical disorders show "psychological" signs--like tiredness.
So if you are serious of this, get the to a physician Doctor and insist on a clear explanation of the rationale for his diagnosis. Often the most important part is the history--which most Drs. don't have the time.
Write down your complaints before you get there and make sure you touch on all of them.
It's been shown that most patients go to Drs. with three problems---and get to discuss only one of them. The patient must assume some responsibility in getting his story accross.
The rest , blame Managed Care which Dems and Reps alike have visited upon the US.

CP, depression is nothing to play around with.Joke all ya want, but if life stinks all the time, you need to find out why.
