I live and work in Japan and I sometimes listen to the local US Army radio broadcasts. They have five minute broadcasts of news in Japan periodically throughout the day. One of the items in yesterday's broadcast was as follows:
"Police in Okinawa arrested a homeless man after slashing a doctor who refused to help him. The doctor was not seriously hurt."
Read it again.
(imagining the scene)
Cops (to homeless guy): Is this the guy?
HG: Um, yeah...
Dr.: Well, I can't just... Hey! Hey, WAI...
(slishhh)
Dr.: Urk!
Cops: Okay, that's taken care of. (to HG again) Now, you're coming with us!
HG: What the hell kind of cops
are you guys..?
I'm hoping it was a simple blooper, but...
