Roommate, Razor, etc...

Okay, this has been getting on my nerves for a little while now. My roommate and I are pretty good about using eachother stuff, ex I use his laptop a lot, and he uses my CD-Burner, I use his guitar, he uses my amplifier and mic cables, etc. Never really been in a fight about it before except for once when he stole my website and told me I stole it from him.

Anyway, he's been using my electric razor lately to shave his head. Why? I don't know. He's got his own razor, and hair clippers. I wouldn't even mind if it was just his face, but he shaves his head in the morning, before he takes a shower (there's some logic in that, right?) and my razor always ends up smelling like icky head sweat. You can see how this is kinda getting on my nerves.

Now, I will admit, it's kind of funny really, when you sit back and think about it. So what I'm looking for, are some good tricks to pull on him for using my razor. I don't want to do anything permanently damaging or anything, just something humorous so maybe he gets the idea he shouldn't be using it. I'd tell him face to face, but the last time we got in an argument, I thought he was going to kill me. <shrug> Everyone appreciates a practical joke, right?

Black goop on the head of the razor. Something like paint which he won't see bnut will stay wet. He mightn't even notice the streaks on his head at first!

Hope he has a sense of humour!

Cheers

I like both of those ideas. You could buy yourself a new set of blades and shall we say beat the old ones up just slightly so they nick scrape and otherwise don't work so well.

If you're comfortable enough with him(I asume so, by you guys 'sharing' valuable things) just confront him and ask him if he would not use you're razor since he has his own. Or if not that, just ipply you like you're razor clean when you shave... if he doesn't get it... then pretty much say "Don't use my razor....please"

:P I dunno, that's how I would do it.

Ya, but that's not as fun.

This is an electric w/out removeable blades. I've thought of that already. Hey, when you're poor, you buy cheap stuff.

Not to be wet blanket or anything, but a razor is definitely an item you shouldn't be sharing with a roommate...or with anyone for that matter.

Think about what you do with a razor (rub and slide it all over your face) and think about what a razor does (cuts the hair at skin level, or more accurately for an electric razor, it breaks the hair at skin level). No matter how clean you think it is, an electric razor is always dirty with all kinds of microscopic hair and tissue matter and that's all teaming with germs and bacteria. Much of the bacteria is not necessarily bad because it's the normal bacteria you have living all over your skin. But we all have our own "bugs" that live on our bodies and for the most part they are unique to each of us. You don't want his "bugs" in your stuff and vice versa.

Or to put it more succinctly, it's just not sanitary man.

Nope. Face to face conversation is still the best way to accomplish your goals.

He won't kill you. You can always say that your dad is bigger than his.

Argh, OuT! You had to ruin it! I don't know, I use some pretty potent alcohol based preshave juice. Not that that will kill all the bugs, but you know, it tries...

I'm just trying to not be confrontational, as I'm that kind of non-confrontational guy. I would just put the razor in the drawer and I figure he'd get the hint, but I don't want to be a jerk about it. At the same time, I don't want to say anything about it. Stuck, right? Argh.
