AS most of you know, I am try to acclimate to this winter wasteland. I have decided to make a thread of stupid winter questions. Here's my first one:

How do I get the windshield wiper fluid to unfreeze? I thought the engine would do the trick, but alas no. Now I am using the force to drive.

Any suggestions?

Well yo ucould use the force to unfreeze the fluid.

or

you could get the blue windshield washer fluid. I don't think that freezes. Could be wrong though. It has gotten clod here but not as cold as MMMMMinnesota

When we drove up to Taho once, my dad put Vodka as the fluid, just a thought.

I use a small capful of anti-freeze dropped into a full tank of wiper fluid. This trick has worked for years.

Will the blue windshield wiper fluid unfreeze the water that is already in there?

They sell more powerfull stuff than the blue fluid to thaw your frozen tank. Check Wal-Mart or maybe a parts store.

You should also get an anti-freeze gauge and check your radiator fluid. Don't want that freezing up.

yes definately get your antifreeze checked, last I checked minnesota gets pretty chilly

You can get some stuff called windshield washer antifreeze, there's some stuff that can actually help clean off the ice off your windshield for us lazy people that don't want to scrape

as a tip its usually a good idea to keep a bag of rock salt or sand in your trunk. Especially if you have rear wheel drive, it adds weight to the car for better traction, and even better if you get stuck you can put that down for a little bit of traction.

Prestone makes a good winter windshield wash. Forget the name of it, but it is by the antifreeze in a clearish antifreeze type of bottle. It is a yellow liquid. I swear by the stuff.

As for you freeze problem. Some effort with a hair drier and following the lines may work. Your best bet is to get it in somewhere relatively warm for a bit and let it thaw.
