Many thanks to all those friends here who prayed for my father.

He has terminal cancer. It has been very aggressive, and has (in a matter of two months) invaded most of his internal organs and bones.

The doctors say it is unlikely that he will live until Christmas.

I know what you are going through, I lost my dad to a fatal heart attack when he was 51. We spent years worrying about his condition.

We will continue to keep you, your family, and your father in our prayers that he will not suffer, but will have enjoyable, painless last days with his family.

When my father passed away last spring, he was at peace with the Lord and felt no pain (the doctors couldn't understand the "no pain"). Dad passed away with a smile on his face and peacefully, knowing he was loved by his family and that he would be with the Lord. When it's your dads time, I hope it goes as smoothly, peacefully, and painlessly as my dad went.

These things are so hard. I'm very sorry to hear, my friend.

My Dad was only 62. His illness, like your Dad's, was quick and aggressive, too. But at the end, he was surrounded by all of us, and left us very gently, knowing how much he was loved.

I guess now that's the thing that we can hope for you, and I will pray that you will have the strength to go through this, and that your Father will know peace, finally. I sure wish I could do more.
