I'm afraid this is shaping up to be yet another false alarm by the forcasters. The storm looks like it will track to far south for us to get anymore than a dusting. Maybe we can come down and go sledding if you get some in your area

Sure thing fingers come on down, reservoir hill is right behind my house. It is across from York College and is one of the best places to go sledding, snowboarding in the area. It is pretty high and not too steep.

Knot - you should have been here a few years back when we had 37" of snow in one storm. I had taken a 36" piece of scrap wood, cut a point on it and then measured out the inches. I then hammered into the ground upto the 0" line and waited. I had to get the tape measure out to get a good reading.

during that blizzard I walked down to the local supermarket and got a few things, cigs, bread, snacks. It was only about 2 1/2 blocks away. After getting back home I realized that I was out of beer so I rigged an old door from a washing machine with string and walked to the beer distributer. That was about a half to 3/4 mile. I bought a case of Coors light ( it fit just perfect on the door) stopped across the street and got a dozen donuts. While walking back home pulling my "sled" loaded with beer and donuts I walked down the street cuse you had to be crazy to be out in that weather.

But the roads are more fun when covered with snow.

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow.

I don't think our friend in So Cal likes snow.

Come to South Australia then, Knot. Won't see snow here, I can guarantee it!!

Dust, bush flies, mosquitoes, heat shimmering mirages, dried up waterholes - you can see all those. But snow? Nope!!

Cheers
Mick

Knot you ever lived in a snowy area?
IMO IF you're a snow person you appreciate it more after seeing it live in person
I can go stand outside while its snowing and just enjoy watching it fall
