Blues?

Well for some odd reason i have a want to hear some blues music. currently im in to metal, techno and punk so i have no idea what to look for on the blues side.

anyone point me in a good direction?

hrm didn't think there was a big difference. i guess im more wanting to get into the really old blues. the type they sit in bars and sing with the harmonica and whatnot if that helps at all?

Albert King---Surreal

One of the interesting things about Albert King is, all the rock guitarists, like Eric Clapton on down, all say that their biggest influences were this guy or that guy (Robert Johnson, Elmore Leonard, etc.) then they all go out and play guitar just like Albert King.

At least the visionary (and sorely missed) Stevie Ray Vaughan acknowledged his musical avatar. In fact, Albert King passed his blues mantle on to Stevie. And that ain't no small thang, bro.
