Just thankful to be here!!
Of all the things a person should be thankful for, and I have been blessed with about anything a man could want, being alive and having a future to look forward to, rates numero uno in my book.
Had I lived twenty five years ago, it would be quite doubful I'd be here today. But with the miraculous dialysis machine and the prospect for a replacement kidney, the days ahead are bright and filled with endless expectations. I can never stress the support my family has given to me. When you have folks in your corner, taking up your slack and constantly just being there for those hard days and nights , the peace of mind that comes is what keeps you going. I see many other people at the treatment facility who are at the mercy of their own bodies and am thankful that only my kidneys are affected and I am able to work and play as normally as I did before I had this desease. Just roughhousing with my dog ( 75 lbs. of roughhousing) is a blessing and one of my favorite passtimes.
I want to wish all the TECH IMO members a Happy Thanksgiving and remember, even if you having nothing ( in your own mind ) be thankful for being alive and can read this. Where there's life, there a beginning.
