What Is This??

I just found this pic on KaZaA, no details, but I can't remember ever seeng one.Has to be from overseas. Looks great though, can anyone tell me what it is?

Looks like a cross between an AMC and a Dodge

It's an Australian Holden HQ Monaro 4-door from the early seventies

mmmmm 6 litre V8

Looks like a Show'n'Shine. .

Actually Monaro had a 5.8 litre (350) V8, as well as a 5.0 litre (308). Just to be correct.

Now there is a new Monaro.

That new monaro looks good too Mick
So is Holden an idependant company,I mean do they make thier own engine ttans that kind of thing? Here in the US, they put mitsubishi engines in some of the Dodge cars/vans.Is this the same way?
Got me curious now

Oz Holden = US GM

You will find some GM parts in Holdens, and probably some exported Holden parts in US GM's. Try this link...

BTW, the Mitsubishi engines are made in a factory in Adelaide, a bit down the road from where I work!

bah 5.8, 6.0 who's counting?

I can see why you thought it was a Dodge, there's a good bit of the Charger/Challenger influence in the styling of that Holden. Very much a late 60s/early 70s muscle car

I knew it wasn't an american car, just had no idea wht it was. Never seen one before. Wish I had one now, nobody else would have one
