Israeli Soldiers Shoot 8 year Old

Two explosive devices were thrown at the soldiers.

I would like to hear more about that. If these were firecrackers that would be one thing. If they were throwing gasoline bombs then I side with the israelis.

The vagueness of the explosive device makes me think that perhaps this was an unjustified shooting.

They had too shoot the little kid, after all the child was throwing armour piercing stones with a nuclear core. Some of these stones have been known to blow up an entire battalion or merkava tanks.

Point is, epidemic, I condemn both sides. They are both acting as terrorists. Boy was just unfortunate to be caught in the crossfire. You can't blame an 8 year old.

But I fear serious retalliation from the Palestine side.

Have you ever been on the receiving end of a stoning. What would you do if stones were thrown at you by 50 rioters. Being hit by a 5 to 10 ounce stone traveling 60 MPH can yield 120 foot pounds of energy. Spread that across a 1/2 contact point that is quite dangerous. Rocks were among the first weapons used by humans to kill eachother.

I do not condone the shooting but again the palestinians gave plausable deniability to the israelis. If the story read there were 50 people out after curfew and they were walking to the market and were gunned down well I would be all in their favor. The parents and elders in the community should have been there stopping the youths from doing this instead of joining in.

Reference Ghandi, Dr. King and you will find that their methods achived much faster and less ambiguous results. Some died for the cause and some were wrongly jailed but in the span of one life time their goals were achived.

Throwing rocks at a merkava tank justifies them to shoot kids? You gotta be mean and ignorant to believe that!

Had 1) the Muslims not been continually performing violent acts, 2) the crowd not been throwing rocks and explosive devices, and 3) the crowd not been out after curfew, the kid would still be alive. Keep in mind stoning can kill. In fact, stoning to death is a capital punishment in some Muslim countries. I mostly blame the Palestinians for this death.

CM, According to the article they were throwing stones at a jeep not a tank.

Also IMO, if the Palestinians want the Israelis out they should form a militia/army and collectively drive them out. Otherwise they shouldn't whine and carry on because someone gets shot for attacking occupying soldiers with rocks after curfew.

Another thing, I doubt the soldiers intended to kill an 8 year old boy. It doesn't serve their purpose as it would only promote more violence from the opposition. On the other hand, in the Palestinian violence they are defending themselves against, how many Isreali children were purposefully killed?
