Does a tree make a sound when it falls to the ground in the forest, when there is no one(ear to hear) there to hear it?

Nothing makes a "sound". Sound is your brain's interpretation of vibrations in the air. Even if no one is around, the tree still makes those vibrations in the air when it crashes to the ground. Germ

The virbations would still be present, so I believe the answer is yes.

No, it doesn't. Quote:

Wait can I try again?
I guess it all hinges on what your definition of "sound" is.

There is always some form of life in a forest and most living things can hear and or feel vibrations. Even totally deaf people can still feel the presence of sound.
