Speaking of French right-wing Christians, any see Brotherhood of the Wolf? I just saw it today. Not a great movie IMO but definitely worth a watch.

The point of my joke that was in poor taste was that the world is a lot better off without anyone that would riot over such an insult. I'd suggest the same W.W.J.D. thing here but we have plenty of stuff like that.

Again the interesting thing here is not that the muslims rioted over a poor joke. It is more in the reaction to it within the community. It is a defending tone they take which is what is disgusting.

I find it scary when you can condone such action as being in any way rational. The christian world denounces the french attrocities from the layperson to the pope.

1) What's a leigh person?
2) I think the way events are happening around the world, Epidemic is quite right in saying that folks from a certain religion are going nuts all over the world.

Wonder what gives?

PS: The death toll is now 258.

leigh person was wrong.

it is layperson kinda means run of the mill average joe six pack religious person.

I often use it incorrectly in meaning just joe six pack with out the religious connotation but that is wrong.

Joe Sixpak=Joe Camel.

I get your drift.

Lay person = Person without a specialized knowledge. Like my wife is a lay person when it comes to cellular phone technology.

What do you think these terroristswill do next? They are in a corner now. And you know how vicious cornered rats can be.

I guess someone here did not read my post.

When a community is subjected to a lot of negative attention over a long period of time it is only natural for it to become defensive, whether it agrees with certain outside critisism or not. We Muslims are no different.

So it doesn't matter whether our 'unity' or 'defence' of each other disgusts an 'outsider' or not. Understand it and move on.

See, its the chicken and egg situation here. The community is not subjected to a lot of negative attention. They did something to get this negative attention. In other words, the negative attention was/is a reaction and not an offensive action.

Why don't other communities/religions get this negative reaction? It's one thing to understand the causes of this behaviour by members of one community.

Quite another thing to be tacitly supporting it and offering excuses/explanations and not unequivocally condemning their actions of killing innocent people all over the world.

You know I consider you a friend CM but I fail to see your point as well. I mean, holy crap these b**tards are burning people alive. That's something human beings haven't done to each other for hundreds of years. They are human beings aren't they???

I still say they should have been mowed down with machine guns.
