House Warming Parties

Is it usual to make food for the guests at a house warming party or does it differ from culture to culture?

I've been invited to a house warming party this Sat, a very good friend of mine, but I have found out that there won't be any food so that struck me as strange.

Is it me or is it them ?

Thanks,
CM.

Dunno about food but they should serve something. Beer is OK.

Kind of weird to throw a party w/out refreshments. Part of the reason I don't throw parties. Too poor.

Maybe that's just us though?

Well there is going to be enough to drink. But nothing to eat. I always thought that both (food & drink) would be appropriate?

At least some snacks to wash down the beer.

Of course a plate of filafal would really hit the spot.

You're already making me hungry.

True, but at least I have honey roasted turkey meat, better than normal turkey meat.
