Which Part Of NO! don't you understand?

tonight there was a knock on the door. This guy selling a water softening unit.
His pitch "Give me a half hour, if you don't want the system I will at that time collect my things and leave, no pressure"
I'm thinking RIGHT!
So he goes through the whole demonstration, and even waits on me to go across town and pick up 4 kids and come back.Already having 3 there, as well as my sister in law and boyfriend. And church starting in an hour.It was madness. But nonetheless, he continued showing how his sytem would purify the water, remove contaminates, yadda yadda yadda.
I'm not saying this wasn't impressive, it was,and looked as if it would do what he claimed it would do.
It still took me an hour and a half to tell "Morgan" I didn't want to pay 8,000 dollars to have sparkling water from my tap.
I finally said, harshly, "You're not making the sale, I don't want it at this time" and walked off and sat down at the computer.
Well this guy kept trying to make the sale as he was packing up, talking to the wife ,who is protective over the kitchen. Finally she walked off and left him talking as well.
What is it with these guys? I know, no sale, no cash, but he should have went somewhere he had a chance of making a sale, not wasting his time with me.
These Morons drive me nuts.
If you wanna be a salesman, go ahead more power to ya, I mean someone has to. But if you're not making the sale, leave and don't put a negative reflection on the company you represent.
Is that too much to ask?
I think Not!
sorry rant off/

I'm suprised you even let the guy in...you need to learn to be mean to 'em . When they knock on the door, I just ask them if they think I invited them over...they generally just walk off then with a disgusted look on their face. Hey, call it rude, but no one is forcing anyone into that line of work. I have very little tolerance for phone solicitations as well.

vinyl siding and window people drive me nuts. This house is in need of new siding, but I'm also adding a bedroom, and dining room after Christmas, so siding isn't needed right now, but they drive by, and I'm thier next target....ARRRRG!
Besides I think Cedar will look pretty dang good IMO
Plus the sheer size of the place would make them salesman of the month.

well, I put up my own vinyl siding, and I had my windows replaced with storm windows because I hated the ones that where there. I had to call them to come here, not let them come to my house.

I ofcoarse had some peeps try to come in and want to demonstrate their water filtration system.

I shoved them my yearly pamplet that I get as a plumber, and it states that my city is in the top five as having the safest and best water. They still tried to come in. finally my dad got pissed and he pulled out his gun on them and said. "If I'm dying of lead poisoning as you say, then let's make sure you get it faster than I do.". Hahahaha,, was real funny.

Or like those peeps who put signs in your yard. yea I have an iron fence as well as my bro's rents my house at the other side of the side street. I saw one guy going over there playing with his dogs with a hammer and I pulled out my gun and yelled at him. Boy I have never seen anyone stutter that much in my life, he pointed to the front of the house and showed the sign for a candidate, and I looked at him and told him "lucky for you I'm voting for that guy"

later on I found out that my dad had sent him to put up those signs and that he went back there frigtened with soaked pants about someone pulling a gun on him.

Well, when you're trying to sell something so you're familey can eat one more meal. Or pay some bill that will keep you one-stop-above losing you're house I think you'll do anything for it. I'm not saying this guy has these issues, but when you're low on luck and money I think you'll do anything to live.

Including getting another job
There are plenty of car salesman and Sears washing machine salesman jobs available.

BTW....you abandoned me in the chat!
