Take a minute to say thanks.....
Visit the Department of Defense web page below and sign a brief message thanking the men and women of the U. S. military services for defending our freedom. The compiled list of names will be sent out to our soldiers at the end of the month. So far, there's a tad over 1,500,000 names. Say Thanks

I think this is a great idea. People can get so caught up in their daily lives that they forget that there are people giving their lives so one more person can drive a fancy car, choose a new job, go to a church, not go to a church, and surf an uncensored internet. Its always great to say thanks to those on the front line or forward deployed. Please remember my brother in the US Army serving in Darmstadt, Germany, who won't be able to come home for Christmas for the second year in a row. Thanks for posting this link!

Give to those who given us our freedoms
Hey there DOOD!! How' the family doin' ????Great idea, fur shure.
I reckon Thanksgiving and Christmas when I was aboard ship was the lonelyest times when I was in. The USO usually put on a good how to help see us thru. Hoping you all have a fine holiday season. Make sure Ole St. Nick has enough "spirits" to make it back to the North Pole!!!
Later...pickel

Remember, it doesn't have to be National Military Appreciation Month
to thank a service member!
| And I would just like to take a minute to thank all members of this board who serve our country.

How bout a rollcall. Who on our board is in the Military. I know Martoch, F/A-18 MechDood, Daveleau, & Thud are. Stand up and be recognized, you know who you are! Give your fellow TechIMO'ers a chance to say how much they appreciate you!

Done. Thanks for the link, Navyd00d
Hey, just joined active duty Army in August for a 5 year enlistment...shipping out Jan. 3rd to Ft. Leonard Wood, Missouri - 9 weeks of basic, 8 weeks of MP school + 3 weeks of Airborne in Ft. Benning, Georgia. Then I'm off to my duty station (hopefully Germany)...as soon as I can get in, I really want to go to Military Working Dog school
Feels great to live in a day and age where men & woman in the military are appreciated (so different than my dad's generation).
