How does Laptop screen resolution effect DVD playback?

Shopping for a new Laptop. I plan to purchase with a DVD player. I'm wondering how the screen type/resolution will effect viewing DVDs? How do UXGA vs SXGA+ vs XGA compare to each other? I can't seem to find comparative info and don't want to over pay for a feature I don't need.

For normal computing, XGA at 1024x768 will work fine for me. Most of my use is internet browsing or MS Office apps and the like.

I do very little if any gaming.
