8 Mile anyone see it?

Went with the wife yesterday. Not to bad of a movie. I like what Eminem has done and accomplished. The movie only brushed on what his life was like growing up in Detroit though. I may be one of the few ppl on here that will admit it though.

I've seen Detroit for what it is worth just by driving through there numerous times. I'd definitely say Detroit is the armpit of MI. And yes I grew up in MI.

i thought it was really good actually. i had my doubts going in for the same reasons as vass, but i was surprised by it. one thing to note though is that it has been toned down a bit (i mean c'mon, what are the chances that eminem really stood up for a gay guy?). do i like eminem any more now? not in the least. was it a good movie? yes IMO. I will probably buy it when it comes out on dvd.

See, you guys's problems is you all have TV....you gotta get in that budget crunch so you dont even know the movie is coming out Then when it does you go in with a clean slate and can enjoy it (Hopefully i'll get TV back soon, then its back to the barrage of ads)

It have no interest in seeing it. The life of a rapper ? No, doesn't seem interesting enough.

(also considering the fact that I don't understant why rap/hipop is popular)
