It's when the massive hordes of slashdot.org readers all start clicking the links from news articles and the traffic often brings things to a grinding halt.

I did experiance an XTREME (lol couldnt resist) load on my bandwidth! the Server and the Database server were able to keep up without much problem but my 1 meg x 1 meg pipe was PACKED! and that did bring the site to a crawl for a period of time. but it was a fun experence to go thru and I feel I got to put my servers to a test!

I spent some time sending out the article to our affiliates and a select number of other major tech sites. I'm glad that Kyle over at HardOCP decided to post it! From there Slashdot got ahold of the news and posted it, along with nvNews which also got ahold of the article via HardOCP.
