Misc Religion: Enter at your own risk

  • Which religion will dominate the world?
  • Is there one?
  • When would this happen?
  • How?
  • Why?
  • Will any religions fuse to form new ones?
  • Or will they be altered?
  • Will any religions remain as they are for eons?
  • Is this possible?.
  • Or will they be changed to adapt to humanity and society's changes?
  • Will a religion cease to be the word of God if it is changed?
  • Is there any religion at all when you think of the 'future'?

CM.

My religion: Hindu, will dominate the world. Would happen in a coupla (two) hundred years, Because it is the most tolerant and user friendly religion I know of on this planet.

Weaker religions will fuse/merge/fragment- part of evolution.

No religion will remain constant. Change is the only constant.

Last three I dunno.

Religion will die out eventually.

In the end I would bet that Muslim would be the most well suited to taking over the world. It is twisted easily to be a religion of if you do not believe you are dead much the way christianity was twisted in the dark ages. The most aggressive "complete" religion with a large enough following is the one that will take over. By hook or by crook I think that would be muslim.

That is of course to say, if science does not win the race and disprove religion.

hmmm - I can't really comment on most of what you wrote. My only hope is that 1 day people will realize that GOD goes by many different names; Lord, Ala, Buddha, etc. Then I think we might all get along...

Personally I don't want to see one religion rule the world.. it could become more of a dictatorship then... I LIKE people having differing beliefs.. I don't want everybody saying "dont do that its a sin!"... I like hearing of others beliefs (given they don't bash a person).

Hindu is indeed an interesting religion
Just gotta leave the castes thing out of it.. IMO

errrmm.. but buddha was never a god.. he was a guy
wasn't an apostle, or a saint.. just a pretty cool guy that reached enlightenment (if I remember right... )
Don't think there are any gods in buddhist?
I do think the cycle of life is an interesting concept.

I don't think religions will ever die out, people need something to believe in.

I believe that as time passes, more of the 'smaller' religions (relative) and more of the pagan and 'simpler' (belief in animals, objects, whitchcraft and magic) religions will die out, leaving a few religions. perhaps the 3 monotheistic religions.

Nope I really have a problem with multiple super powered beings that control your destiny. Sorry but on this to each his own.

The problem with almost all the super being religions after written language was developed and as the societies progress it seems as if the appearance of the gods seems to be less and less frequent. Except when speaking of the deep dark past.

The elephant on a mans body seems to follow this pattern. It is a peaceful religion perhaps but that makes it have problems as well when competing. PPPPlease do not take this as an assault on your beliefs. These are my opinions and not meant to offend you. We all will find out the truth when we die. I just hope that if there is a god of any sort he has more of a sense of humor than he is preported to have. I mean after all he did make the platipus and the girraffe perhaps he will be understanding.

CM .. granted its unheard of, but there is at least one other monotheistic religion.... been around longer than judaism
Zoroastrianism
They too have some interesting concepts, many of which have been adopted into judaism, christianity etc.
