A California jury found actress Winona Ryder guilty today of theft and vandalism charges after she was accused of shoplifting more than $5,500 in merchandise from a Saks Fifth Avenue store in Beverly Hills last December. Ryder could be sentenced to as many as three years in prison on each count.
Bet she sees maybe a couple of months and community service.
We will not be asking for jail time," Los Angeles County prosecutor Ann Rundle told reporters outside the courthouse. "We have never asked for jail time in this case. We simply ask Miss Ryder to accept responsibility."
can I ask a question?!
Who cares!?
Why is it so important that a person (yes believe it or not she's just a human being) get SOOOO much publicity over something that (unfortunately) happens quite often...
Oh yeah.. cause she's an expired actor lol

I have to agree with Epidemic here, i don't care what she does, but when she steals something that would put myself in prison and gets off with 3 weeks in a soup kitchen or picking up trash in the park, it ticks me off. The last time I saw a picture of lady justice she had a blindfold on... just seems like more and more often that blindfold is either too thin or keeps slipping off the eyes.
