Republicans gain two seats in the senate and hold their seats in the house. Hopefully we will see similar progress that was under Reagan under his second term when Rep's held the same positions. I don't think GW is anywhere near the man that Reagan was as president, but we can always hope...
Let's just hope he knows what to do & does the right thing with this rare opportunity. It's not very often that the Supreme Court, both houses of Congress, and the Presidency are all of similar mind be it conservative or liberal. So if he wants to make some changes he better get his butt in gear.
or rather ... Hopefully they will not try to power share this time. Dashle refused to power share lets see what the republicans can do. I just hope they stop being republicrats.
Heh, and ole Daschle's boy is losing to Thune in South Dakota... interesting result in the touted 'proxy' fight 'tween Bush and Daschle.... I'm thinking that Tommie's going to have an unpleasant time for a bit even IF Thune loses out in the final analysis, heh

I am also glad that Mondale lost. Man, if he'd gotten in, Minn. would have been done! His old style politics is what dragged the whole country under during the 60s and 70s (not him exclusively, but he and his peers).
