The rage
The rage grows. The audacity and sheer criminality of democrats never ceases to amaze me.
Need more votes? Get a democratic judge to leave the polls open another 1.5 hours.
Need a get out of jail free pass? Tell people it isn't perjury when you're lying about your relationship.
Need to get another candidate in place because the one you have in place currently is bound to lose? Is it too late to insert another candidate, according to state law? Well, screw the state laws! Get a democratic state supreme court to disregard them.
Need a backup plan in case your election doesn't go as planned? Get the courts to disregard state law and reissue absentee ballots which will NEVER have a chance of getting back in time for end of ellections. Proceed to file lawsuit if results don't please you.
I could go on, but I won't. I despise democrats, as a whole. Person to person, they can be ok, but aside from that they are criminals and liars.

Basically. This was the most appropriate forum, being non-tech and all. Anyone agree/disagree? Can you defend the abuse of the courts by Democrats?

I won't even attempt to defend the democrats, but if you think republicans are saints, you are sadly mislead. Both political parties are incredibly guilty of abuse. Whether it be judiciary meddling, big business payoffs (Enron), mysterious suicides of key defendents, or fooling around with floozie interns.
It all boils down to ego. When you think you're better than John Q Public, there's no end to what crap you'll pull.

| Oh, and Republicans are therefore the guardians of this country's moral "high ground", eh?
This discussion will come to nought. Both parties are just power bases for criminals looking to grab as much power as they can, while jiving the American people of their "virtue".
When meaningful campaign reform and lobbyist controls happen (if ever), THEN we'll discuss it. I voted Libertarian. |

I never stated I was for Republicans. I'm more of a Libertarian, but I disagree with some of their views as well. Republicans are only slightly better than Democrats, and I haven't seen the rampant abuse of the justice system by Republicans. The will to disregard the rule of law just to get a candidate elected, on the part of the Democrats, just disgusts me.

| Hmmm...well, just for the sake of argument, might you cite some specific examples?
We like to hear details. And specifics. How did they cheat? |

Um.. read the first post in this thread.
1> Lautenberg should never have been allowed on the ballot in NJ. It was against state law.
2> Minnesota should have never reissued absentee ballots. They would never get back in time for the elections, and it was against state law.
3> I'm about to go home so I can't list more.

I'm a yellow-dog Democrat, myself. I've voted for a lot of sorry specimens, and this last lot was sorry indeed. But the only thing I find impressive about the Republicans is their party solidarity, especially when they're loudly and hypocritically denouncing or denying the very things they support: tax giveaways to the rich, spoliation of the environment, privatization of Social Security.

| And GWB is in the news for the last several days, running a 116-city (or something like that) marathon campaign for fellow Senate Republicans. It's over now, so maybe he'll get some sleep, and start paying attention to the concerns of this country, instead of trying to force a Republican majority!
Is it just me, or shouldn't the affairs of state be the main concern of the guy we elected as President? What I'm seeing here is party power-brokering, on a behemoth scale, and on the taxpayer's dime....and TIME...
Sheeez, even the historical Robber Barons might have conspired in a similar way, but I don't think even they would have had the cheek to do it so loudly! Let's face it, these swine don't even react anymore to considerations of even putting on a SHOW of decency.
VOTE LIBERTARIAN! Eventually, (it could happen!) we may get these criminals (Reps and Dems) outta the picture?
I can dream, can't I? |
