I guess it looks like the war will start very soon.

Their building up the forces. Means war is likely but not imminent. Remember we have military bases in Saudia Arabia and Kuwait. They may be shipping to there.

Also, as a possibility, they could be shipping in 'War on Terror' equipment, since some US equipment is too big for air transit (like M1 tanks).

Not surprising, I think it was Kuwait (could be wrong) that has reserved 1/3 of it's land for military use, guess by whom?

Well, the Saudis have apparently said "no" to the US's using our VERY EXPENSIVE air bases for any war with Iraq, whether or not the UN authorizes it.

Not that I'm for war, but you could kind of wish that they'd at least stay bought.

Why would you bring bridge sections. The place is a desert.

They should bring 50,000 dust busters to pick up saddam with after the war.

Saudi Arabia has to let us use our AF bases in their country. after all, they are our bases, not theirs.

I think the issue is that they won't let us use their airports or bases.

They will only need one dust buster (high powered) for him. Bridge sections needed for ravines/highly undulated surfaces/unloading from ships, whatever. I'm not a military engineer-just guessing.

Looks like they mean business, though specially if you see the defence linkys at the bottom of Yahoo page. These manuevers cost serious money. They'd not be doing it unless something's cooking.

I'm gonna check with some folks in I know in Washington DC to confirm.

But remember the old saying: "No smoke without fire". (EP- not talking of cigarettes.)

We have used those smoke machines. There you have smoke without fire. So put that in your pipe and smoke it.
