We have a problem with teenagers racing, and doing burnouts in front of our house. The kids play in the yard, and really don't pay attention to thier surroundings when playing basketball or something.
I didn't know that today people had been racing down the road,and the transmission shop a block away was getting the dragster tuned up for the track, or the starter shop on the other block was just getting the camaro fired up.
So I gave the van a tune up,changed thermostat, and seemed to run pretty good. I was pulling it around the block to the front of the house, and stopped in the road. Holding the brakes, I gave it some gas, and it started to spin the tires, I let off the brake,left a 2' mark, ( I was surprised it even broke loose)let off and pulled in the driveway.

I walk in the house, and she is on the phone

then we both had a good laugh

Guess I'll have to find another way to test my tuneups, done it this way for years

Looks like I'll have to practice what is being preached huh?

What kind of example are you setting?

Burn outs aren't squat. I can burn rubber for days in my Toyota truck. I can do doughnuts till the cows come home. And I've done it. And the cows were pissed off.

But I didn't do it in a residential area.
